These terms apply when you use the Spinther app or this website. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or this website.

What Spinther is

Spinther is a task management app for iPhone. It is currently in a private beta, distributed by invitation through TestFlight. Access is granted gradually, and features may change, pause or disappear while the product is still being shaped.

The app licence

Spinther is licensed to you, not sold. For the duration of the beta we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the beta build on devices you own or control, for as long as your invitation stands. You may not redistribute it, sublicense it, or pass on your TestFlight invitation.

Copies obtained from the App Store are additionally covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies as a minimum set of terms. Apple is not the licensor — we are. Apple distributes the app and is a third-party beneficiary of those minimum terms, entitled to enforce them against you. Where they and these terms genuinely conflict on the software licence itself, Apple’s prevail.

Your content is yours

Everything you create in Spinther belongs to you. It is stored on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account, so we neither hold it nor claim any right over it. We cannot read it, and we cannot recover it for you.

That cuts both ways: keeping your device and your Apple Account secure is your responsibility, and so is keeping a copy of anything you would be upset to lose. Spinther can export your data at any time.

Beta limitations

Spinther is provided as is during the beta, without warranties of any kind. Beta software has bugs, and this one may lose data, behave unexpectedly or become unavailable. Please do not make it the only place something important lives — keep a copy elsewhere, or export regularly.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for data loss, downtime or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the beta. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Fair use

Please do not use Spinther to break the law, to harass anyone, or to interfere with the service or with other people’s use of it. Do not attempt to redistribute the beta build or share your TestFlight invitation. We may withdraw access if you do.

Privacy

The privacy notice explains what is and is not collected. In short: the app collects nothing, and this site sets no cookies.

Changes

These terms will change as Spinther grows out of its beta. The date at the top shows when the current version took effect, and anything material will be flagged here or by email before it applies.
